Step by Step
This activity will allow you to visit Ischia, an island located a few miles from Naples and known above all for its crystal clear sea and thermal baths. By choosing this package, you will not only be entitled to a return trip by hydrofoil, but also to a three-course lunch (with drinks) in a local restaurant. The excursion lasts approximately 8 to 9 hours and does not include a guide, you will have the opportunity to explore Ischia at your leisure.
As well as beaches and seaside resorts, Ischia has much more to offer, among its main attractions:
- Castello Aragonese - Spectacular fortress built in a strategic position for the defence of the island. Its golden age dates back to the 16th century when it hosted artists such as Michelangelo and Ariosto. It can be climbed using the lift or through a tunnel in the rock.
- Giardini La Mortella - A beautiful Mediterranean/subtropical garden created by composer William Walton and his wife Susanna. In addition to flowers and plants, there are fountains, ponds with bamboo and lotus flowers, an oriental temple and an incomparable view over the Mediterranean.
- Borgo di Sant'Angelo - An old fishing village with typical Mediterranean style houses. It is very quiet and completely pedestrianised. Its most famous attraction is Le Fumarole, a beach characterised by strong volcanic activity.
- Chiesa del Soccorso - It stands out for its white façade and its position on top of a cliff. Inside it hangs the vows of the sailors and their wives, in gratitude for surviving the storms.
The excursion is free, you can make your own itinerary. At lunchtime, you just have to choose one of the collaborating restaurants and enjoy a meal included in the price of the activity.
