Step by Step

Immerse yourself in Shibuya's vibrant nightlife scene with a three-hour food tour full of history, culture and unique flavours. You'll meet your guide at Hachiko Square, next to the iconic statue of Japan's most loyal dog, and from there you'll begin to explore must-see corners of this cosmopolitan neighbourhood.

  • Hachiko Square: A meeting point and symbol of loyalty, perfect for learning about the touching story of Hachiko.
  • Miyashita Park: An urban oasis above a shopping mall where you can soak up views of the skyline and the hustle and bustle of Shibuya.
  • Center Gai: Shibuya's pedestrianised heart filled with street stalls; here you can sample takoyaki and the "10 yen coin" cheese.
  • Don Quijote: Multi-brand shop ideal for discovering Japanese curiosities and sampling snacks you won't find anywhere else.

After street snacks, you'll arrive at Udagawachō, where you'll enjoy freshly made oniguiris, and then head to Excelsior Café for a Japanese-style cheesecake. Along the way, your guide will explain the historical and cultural context of each stop, from the origins of fried chicken sandwiches at Shibuya Crossing to the pop culture influence of Don Quixote's shops.

The tour ends at Tokyu Hands, a concept shop filled with kitchenware, designer gadgets and unique items. If you're still hungry for more, don't forget to visit the Dragon Quest-themed Lawson on Inokashira Street before bidding farewell to this unforgettable experience.
