Step by Step
Experience a historical and introspective day with this full-day excursion to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum, a must for those who want to gain an in-depth understanding of the Holocaust and pay tribute to its victims. The tour begins in Krakow, from where you will travel in comfort by air-conditioned bus to the museum complex.
Upon arrival, you will explore the grounds of Auschwitz I, the first concentration camp, where the barracks, gas chambers and documentary exhibits showing the brutality of this period are still preserved. You will then continue to Auschwitz II-Birkenau, the extermination camp, a symbol of the Nazi death machine, where you can walk among the railway tracks and the ruins of the execution facilities.
Throughout the entire experience, you will have a printed guide in the language of your choice, allowing you to tour the sites at your own pace, with detailed information on each relevant point. In addition, a tour host will be available at all times to assist you, answer questions and help you with the logistics of the visit.
This tour does not include a live guide, but it does include a very complete documentation and a perfectly signposted environment so that you can live this experience on your own. You will have 7.5 hours of free time to explore both camps, with scheduled breaks and organised return to Krakow.
Remember that this is a deeply moving and educational tour. It is recommended to maintain a respectful attitude at all times and to carry valid documentation, as it will be required for access to the site.
