- Blue Eye of Buracona: it is a seawater sinkhole that forms an impressive "blue eye" in the volcanic rock. In the sunlight it creates an incredible effect in a deep blue tone in the water.
- Pedra Lume salt crater: an ancient volcanic crater flooded with saline water, creating a salt lagoon. Its waters are dense, similar to those of the Dead Sea.
- Murdeira Bay Nature Reserve: Charming reserve with clear, calm waters, ideal for snorkelling and diving.
- Palmeira: a charming village with colourful houses and a relaxed atmosphere that captures the essence of island life.
Other places to visit include Miragem, famous for its natural optical illusion, and the kite beach, which is characterised by its vast expanse and is a favourite with kite surfers.
