Mindo Cloud Forest 2-Day Trip from Quito

Venture into the lush rainforest of Mindo, home to some of the world's most diverse species, with a local guide. Admire over 70 species of orchids and countless hummingbirds and marvel at the beauty of nature.

On day 1 you will visit points of interest such as:

• Intinan Museum: you will learn about the history and culture of the indigenous people of Ecuador, as well as discover the unique features of the equator. You will be able to balance an egg on a nail.

• Alambi Reserve: you will see rare and beautiful bird species, between 10 to 20 species of hummingbird such as the spatulate-billed hummingbird and the blue and black tanager. Taste tropical fruits depending on the season.

• The Pahuma Orchid Reserve: you will walk for more than 1 hour through the cloud forest known to be home to more than 200 species of orchids. You can also observe various species of birds, butterflies and other wildlife and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Andean mountains.

• Monument to the Middle of the World: is an iconic monument located on the equator in Ecuador, marking the division between the northern and southern hemispheres of the Earth.

On day 2 choose from a variety of exciting activities: opt for zip lining, tubing, abseiling or cycling, or something more relaxed such as bird watching or a chocolate or coffee tour. The cost is not included in the package.
