  • Omaha Beach: located in the American sector and was invaded by the Germans.
  • Sword Beach: beach invaded by the British, famous for being the third landing zone.
  • Saint-Mere Eglise Airborne Museum: a museum honouring the paratroopers of the US Army Airborne Divisions.
  • American Cemetery: more than 9,000 graves with white crosses of American soldiers killed in the war.
  • Commonwealth Military Cemeteries: the largest of the 18 cemeteries in Normandy.
  • Ardenne Abbey: founded in the 11th century and the scene of the execution of 11 Canadian prisoners of war.

So much history can be learned in one day! I didn't know that I didn't know so much about the second world war and such specific facts that you can learn with this tour. It's a pity that Normandy has been so stigmatized by humans, it really is beautiful!
