Planet Exotica, located in Royan, France, is a captivating commercial botanical garden spread over 7.6 hectares. Its creation was prompted by Mayor Philippe Most in the early 2000s and since then it has attracted more than 100,000 visitors each year.
Renowned for its impressive collection of orchids, it houses around 3,000 specimens under a tropical greenhouse specially designed for their flowering. In addition, the site has a varied range of spaces displaying bonsai, bamboo, lavender, palms, oleanders and olive trees, among others.
This exciting place not only presents an exquisite collection of plants, but also offers the opportunity to observe a wide variety of animals. From butterflies and Japanese carp to snakes, crocodiles and alligators from different corners of the world, Planet Exotica offers a unique experience. In addition, there is a Jurassic Garden featuring life-size models of dinosaurs.
