Step by Step
These tickets to Mont Saint-Michel Abbey are the perfect excuse to visit one of the area's most impressive tourist attractions. It is a 13th century religious complex that sits atop an island-commune off the beaches of Normandy.
It is a medieval pilgrimage site that has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is also the place where the archangel Michael has been worshipped since 708 AD.
You will have the opportunity to wander among its more than 20 rooms, spires and towers rising above the village. Along the way you will discover years of history of the Benedictine monks who initiated the construction of the abbey.
You can join one of the free guided tours that take place throughout the day. You should ask about them when you arrive so that you can be assigned a time slot to attend. Alternatively, you can purchase an audio guide and take the tour at your own pace, but benefit from commentary along the way.
A visit to the abbey will be the ideal opportunity to observe one of the largest tidal variations in Europe, with changes of up to 15 metres in six hours. Of course, the views won't leave you indifferent either.
