Step by Step
By joining this tour you'll appreciate the grandeur and majesty of Mont Saint-Michel, a rocky, Gothic-style islet that is home to one of France's most legendary abbeys.
You will depart in a private vehicle from Paris to drive along the Normandy coastline to reach this unrivalled natural setting, which will take you between four and five hours by road.
You will have the opportunity to visit the Gothic buildings in the bowels of the island, such as the refectory, the scriptorium and the cloister . In the abbey, you will see the church with its respective chapels and crypts, founded in 709 to worship the archangel St. Michael.
An expert guide will tell you about the grandiose history of the hill, which served as a prison at the time of the French Revolution.
Today, structures such as the abbey's cloister are considered masterpieces of Gothic architecture, which is why the site was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979.
If you plan your visit according to the high tide times in Normandy, you will be able to witness one of the most spectacular natural phenomena, which occurs when the high tide fills the rocky base on which the mountain stands and turns it into an island, blocking its access through the bay.
As you explore the island, you can take in the beautiful view from the bay, go shopping in the shops or enjoy a delicious traditional Norman lunch.
