Step by Step
This ticket gives you skip-the-line access to the Ménagerie, the oldest zoological garden in France. Founded in 1794, it houses a wide variety of animal species from all over the world. Here you can admire colourful and exotic birds (parrots, flamingos, etc.), tigers, crocodiles, lemurs, zebras and many other animals. Among the rarest species are the following:
- Okapi - A solitary and secretive animal, closely related to the giraffe. Its coat is short, rough and dark brown. It has black and white stripes on its legs, very similar to those of the zebra. These stripes serve as camouflage in the dense jungle vegetation.
- Andean Tapir - Primarily nocturnal, it hunts and feeds at night and spends most of the day hidden and resting. It has a short, rough black or dark brown coat. Sometimes it may have white patches on its face, neck and throat. The zoo also hosts another endangered species: the Malayan Tapir.
- Manul - A small species of wild cat native to the mountainous regions of Central Asia. Characterised by soft fur and a relatively small head with rounded ears and large yellow or green eyes.
- Ibis eremita - A large bird with a slender body and long, slender legs. The head and neck are devoid of feathers, exposing bare, dark red skin. Originally widespread in Europe, Africa and western Asia, it is now found only in a few places in southern Europe.
The Ménagerie is an attraction for all ages. An ideal place for families with children and for nature lovers.
