The KölnCard offers you the opportunity to save money on your visit to Cologne. You will have unlimited travel on the city's public transport (buses, trams and trains) for as long as your card is valid. In addition, you will get special discounts of up to 50% on restaurants, guided tours, private tours, museum tickets and other must-see attractions in the city.
You can choose between a card valid for 24 or 48 hours, depending on your preferences. You also have the option of purchasing a single card for groups of up to 5 people. With this option, all members of the group can travel and access discounts with a single card, saving more money. In addition, children under 5 years of age do not have to pay anything.
Please note that you have to exchange the voucher you will receive by email when booking for a physical card at a tourist office. You will receive the exact address as soon as you have completed the booking process. This office is closed on Sundays, so make arrangements to redeem your voucher on any other day of the week.

How does the card work?
- Upon purchase, you will receive a voucher which you can exchange for the physical card at the Service Centre of the Cologne Tourist Office (KölnTourismus GmbH - VisitKöln). You will receive the exact address as soon as you make your booking. This office is closed on Sundays, so please arrange to redeem your card on any other day of the week.
- The card will be activated when it is used for the first time or when it is used for the first time at a validation machine on public transport. After activation, you will have 24 or 48 calendar hours to use it, depending on the option you choose.
- Each card must be in the name of one person. In the case of group cards, it is sufficient to add the name of a person in charge.
- The card is personal and non-transferable, and you must present it together with an official identification document to enjoy its benefits.
