Step by Step

Enjoy a day trip to the Katla Ice Cave with transfer from Reykjavik, located on the south coast of Iceland, and see the wonderful scenery on natural ice. The activity will be led by an expert guide, who will take you to places and natural areas that you rarely get to see in your life, such as:

  • Myrdalsjokull Glacier: before entering the ice cave you will come across this wonderful glacier with walls in blue and black ice. Its height reaches 1,493 metres.
  • Dragon Glass Katla Ice Cave: also known as the Dragon Cave. Under this cave is located the active volcano Katla that gives the touch of ashy colour to the ice that contrasts with its natural blue and white colour.
  • Skogafoss waterfall: one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Iceland that can be seen from several kilometres away. The river Skógá falls down a rock wall over a plateau creating an unusual natural postcard.
  • Vik: a coastal town with an incredible natural environment surrounded by a black sand beach and a wide variety of bird life.

Transport to and from Reykjavík will be in a 4x4 jeep, and along the way you will be able to see Iceland's mountain scenery and the villages along the way.

The ice caves are amazing, but this is by far the best one I've visited the entire time I've been visiting Iceland.
