Step by Step

This tour will take you to famous sites on the island, such as the monkey forest and the impressive Tanah Lot temple. The tour lasts approximately 12 hours and includes hotel pick-up, an expert guide and entrance fees to the main attractions.

The first activity is usually the Barong and Kris dance, typical of ritual ceremonies. It is the classic representation of good versus evil, embodied by the lion Barong (king of spirits) and Rangda, the queen of demons. In succession, you will see the following locations and monuments:

  • Kanto Lampo - A waterfall of about 15 metres in the middle of the jungle. Its most distinctive feature is the tiered rocks and to admire them from the best perspective, you have to dive into the water.
  • Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary - A small rainforest a short distance from Ubud, the cultural heart of Bali. Hundreds of playful and curious Balinese long-tailed macaques live here in the wild. Be careful with snacks and mobile phones, they have a tendency to steal them if you get distracted. This is a sacred site and, in fact, inside are three 14th century temples
  • Tanah Lot - A temple perched on a rock overlooking the ocean. It is believed to date back to the 16th century and owes its origin to Dang Hyang Nirartha, a man with supernatural powers. According to local folklore, this place of worship is protected by a sea serpent that lives in the surrounding waters.

The tour does not include lunch, but there is no shortage of alternatives for a bite to eat during the day. It is advisable to wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
