Step by Step

This tour departs from Naples and goes to Capri, a famous island just a few miles from the city. If you choose this option, you won't have to worry about transportation, as a bus will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the port. Once there, you will take a boat with the other participants and arrive in Capri in about an hour. In total, the tour lasts about 8 hours and includes a local guide who will tell you the history and secrets of this picturesque town.

Before disembarking and exploring Capri at your leisure, the boat will take a tour around the island giving you the opportunity to admire the following attractions:

  • Grotta Bianca - A suggestive cave created by the destruction of a karst system due to the erosive action of the waves. In Roman times it was used as a warehouse for ships.
  • Grotta Verde - Also known as Grotta dei Turchi (Cave of the Turks), it owes its name to the emerald colour of its waters. In the past it was used by pirates for ambushes.
  • Arco Naturale - Famous limestone formation in the shape of an arch. From a distance, it looks like an elephant's trunk.
  • Villa Malaparte - A splendid example of rationalist architecture, it stands out for its parallelepiped shape, its bright red colour and its location on top of a rocky spur.
  • Punta Carena - A strip of land jutting out into the sea, located in the southwest of the island. Here stands a historic lighthouse built in 1866.
  • Faraglioni - Three large rocks rising out of the sea. They are the undisputed symbol of the island.

Once the tour is over, you will disembark in the small harbour and you will have about 5 hours to discover the attractions of Capri. The first stop could be the famous Piazzetta, with its characteristic bars and restaurants. This is the ideal place for a bite to eat but remember that this is at your own expense.

You can use the remaining time to visit Villa Jovis (from Roman times and dedicated to Jupiter), the incomparable Grotta Azzurra (Blue Cave), reach the town of Anacapri or walk along the Belvedere Tragara panoramic path. In the afternoon, you will take the boat back to Naples.

Good tour, much more complete than I expected and with wonderful and very picturesque landscapes. A pity that the weather was not the most cheerful on the day we had to go.
