Step by Step
A 4-day tour to the Masai Mara National Reserve and Lake Nakuru from Nairobi is the most comfortable way to see the area in depth. Plus, you'll be sure to see as many exotic animals as possible. This is a fully organised tour so you don't have to worry about anything.
You will travel with a small group of no more than 7 travellers, so you are guaranteed a more exclusive and personalised experience. An expert local guide will accompany you throughout the tour, which begins with a convenient hotel pick-up service.
You will start your journey south and enjoy the Great Rift Valley. There will be a stop along the way to refuel, have lunch and enjoy the breathtaking views from a lookout point. Once in the Masai Mara National Reserve, the wilderness adventure begins. The first two nights will be spent in an authentic wilderness camp , but with all the comforts you need to enjoy your stay.
You will spend the second full day in the Mara, where you will have a complete tour, including the river. There you will be able to observe a multitude of animals such as black maned lions, leopards, cheetahs, crocodiles and hippos. On this day you will also have the option to visit some of the nearby Maasai villages and learn more about this interesting culture.
On the third day, you will head to Nakuru National Park, where you will arrive in the evening. Weather permitting, you can head to Naivasha for a relaxing boat ride to a crescent island in Lake Naivasha.
After a final breakfast, day four will start with a morning game drive in Nakuru Park. This will be the perfect opportunity to see many flamingos and up to 350 species of birds recorded in the area up close. The tour will end back at the starting point. Overnight accommodation as well as breakfast, lunch and dinner during the tour are included.
