Step by Step

This experience offers you an in-depth exploration of two of Amsterdam's most iconic museums. It consists of a private guided tour of the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum. For approximately five to five and a half hours, you will wander through the rooms of these museums while viewing unique works of art from the Dutch Golden Age and well-known paintings by the post-impressionist painter Vincent Van Gogh, such as:

  • The Sunflowers
  • The Bedroom in Arles
  • Skull with a cigarette

There are two aspects that make this a unique and enhanced activity. You will be able to enjoy direct access to the museums, so you won't have to queue. In addition, this tour is private for you, so you will only be accompanied by your professional guide.

Visit the Van Gogh Museum. It is a gallery dedicated to one of the greatest exponents of post-impressionism and one of the most iconic painters in history, the Dutchman Vincent Van Gogh. Housing up to 213 paintings, 406 drawings and many of the painter's letters, you will discover the influence and importance of this painter on painting today.

Enjoy your visit to the Rijksmuseum, also known as the National Museum of Amsterdam. It has the best-known collection of works of art from the Dutch Golden Age, as well as an extensive collection of Asian and Egyptian art. You can see works by artists such as Goya, Rembrandt, Rubens and Fra Angelico, but the most attractive feature of the museum are the 22 paintings by Rembrandt.

You can explore these two museums in detail at your own pace and without queuing, while enjoying the exclusivity of a professional guide who will provide you with interesting information to understand the relevance of Dutch Baroque art and Van Gogh's works in universal painting.

Be prepared to climb stairs and stand to listen to the guide's talk about famous artists like Rembrandt over the decades. There were plenty of couches for lounging and gift stores in both museums.

I liked being escorted to the museums without having to stand in line to get tickets. There was time for lunch in the park before going to the Van Gogh Museum.
