Step by Step

This tour starts with a pick-up from your hotel or accommodation. Climb aboard a minivan and set off from Krakow for a journey to Wadowice, the birthplace of Pope John Paul II, and Czestochowa, the religious capital of Poland.

Both cities, located in the south of Poland, have contributed to the development of the life of Karol Wojtyla, Pope John Paul II.

In Wadowice, the birthplace of Pope John Paul II, you will visit the main square where several monuments were erected in his memory and where today the square is named John Paul II Square in his honour. Throughout this tour of the city of the first Polish Pope, you will see the parish church where little Karol was baptised and the secondary school he attended.

This full day tour includes a visit to the John Paul II Family House Museum where objects and memorabilia of the family and Karol himself are on display. After your visit you can enjoy a coffee break and taste the famous cream cakes known as kremowka.

Upon arrival in Czestochowa, one of the oldest cities in Poland, you will admire the miraculous icon of the Black Madonna in the Jasna Góra Monastery. During your visit you will be accompanied by one of the Pauline monks who will guide you through this Catholic sanctuary.

An impressive tour full of beautiful places to visit. It seems to me a perfect outing to do with the family, you can take advantage of the day. However, I would have liked to include a snack in the tour.

Perhaps the duration of the tour is excessive, at least for my taste. The experience was very comforting, I recommend doing it once.

Besides being a very complete tour, it turned out to be very educational for me and my children. We highly recommend it for the whole family, although it is a bit tiring.
