Both cities, located in the south of Poland, have contributed to the development of the life of Karol Wojtyla, Pope John Paul II.
In Wadowice, the birthplace of Pope John Paul II, you will visit the main square where several monuments were erected in his memory and where today the square is named John Paul II Square in his honour. Throughout this tour of the city of the first Polish Pope, you will see the parish church where little Karol was baptised and the secondary school he attended.
This full day tour includes a visit to the John Paul II Family House Museum where objects and memorabilia of the family and Karol himself are on display. After your visit you can enjoy a coffee break and taste the famous cream cakes known as kremowka.
Upon arrival in Czestochowa, one of the oldest cities in Poland, you will admire the miraculous icon of the Black Madonna in the Jasna Góra Monastery. During your visit you will be accompanied by one of the Pauline monks who will guide you through this Catholic sanctuary.
