While enjoying a cup of coffee or tea during a 2-hour class, you will learn how to make pasteléis de nata like a true professional, as well as another recipe of Portuguese cuisine.
At the end, you will be able to taste your gastronomic masterpiece and share this tasting with other culinary enthusiasts. Take this experience home with you and surprise your loved ones with your sweetest side by putting into practice the knowledge you learnt during this activity. The class will be held in small groups of approximately 15 people who will receive instructions from a professional chef.
Supposedly, the recipe has been a secret for almost 200 years and it is said that no more than seven people in the world know it. This Portuguese delicacy contains a pastry made with puff pastry, and the cream is made with egg yolk, sugar and milk.
Moreover, in Portugal there is a proverb: "A bride who eats cake, does not take off her ring". After the wedding, it is traditional for the engaged couple to stop for a nice cream cake. Of course, pastéis de belém have a very significant connotation of love, which makes them perfect to enjoy on a romantic date with your partner.
