Step by Step
On this shark cage diving experience in Mosselbaai, you will dive into a shark cage and observe great white sharks up close in their natural habitat. You will learn about these large animals and their behaviour. An instructor will give a talk on shark behaviour and safety. The activity, which can last up to 4 hours, includes breakfast, a light snack, the use of snorkelling equipment and a boat transfer to the dive site.
The tour starts on land with breakfast and a brief introduction to sharks and the safety precautions required for the activity. You will then board a boat and head to the dive site. There the crew will throw out the bait for the sharks to come. As the first sharks approach you can relax with a light snack and watch the beautiful views.
Once the sharks are prowling around the boat you will enter the cage and dive in. You can enjoy the thrill of coming face to face with these impressive animals, watching them as they swim around the cage. The crew will provide you with information about the behaviour of the Great White Sharks, allowing you to appreciate this amazing experience even more.
Mosselbaai is known to be one of the best places in the world to spot great white sharks, so this excursion promises to be an exciting and unforgettable experience.
