Step by Step
By joining this guided day trip from Barcelona, you'll have the opportunity to explore the city of Girona, Pals and Calella de Palafrugell on the Costa Brava, in small groups of around 8 people.
A comfortable air-conditioned vehicle will pick you up from your hotel to take you through the paradisiacal and historical sites of the area from early in the morning, so you can make the most of the whole day for the excursion.
You will walk around the city of Girona with a professional guide, through its most beautiful and representative places, among which stand out:
- Call: walk through the old town of Girona, on the banks of the river Oñar, and discover the Jewish quarter.
- Girona City Walls: get a panoramic view of the city from its sandstone walls dating back to the medieval era
- Gerona Cathedral: this beautiful church is famous for having the largest Gothic nave in the world, at 22 metres wide.
- Arab Baths: a must-see stop for Roman-inspired bathing rooms.
In addition to the tour of Girona, you'll get to know the idyllic route leading to the Costa Brava by visiting the beaches of Calella de Palafrugell, a legendary fishing village where beautiful coves take centre stage.
There you can take advantage of the walk to explore the varied gastronomic offerings typical of Catalonia and sample some delicacies that will bring you closer to the customs and traditions of the region.
In the village of Pals, its impressive Gothic and Romanesque architecture, which is still in perfect condition, will take you back to the Middle Ages. You will have the opportunity to walk through its beautiful cobbled streets and visit places such as the Medieval Village and the old hospital.
