Experience Highlights

Visit Tarragona and Sitges, two very different points of view of Catalan culture on this 1-day excursion. On the one hand, you'll discover the Roman ruins and constructions still visible in Tarragona, while Sitges is the representation of the Mediterranean atmosphere thanks to its beach and its fishing origins.

To make sure you don't miss any detail of these two cities, you'll be accompanied at all times by a tour guide. He will explain everything you need to know about each of the monuments you visit. In addition, you will have a great deal of his attention because you will be part of a small group, with a capacity of about 15 people. All the routes of the excursion are included, so you won't have to organise anything.

  • Visit Tarragona and Sitges in 1 day, two representative cities of the history of Catalonia.
  • You will be accompanied by a tour guide who will explain all the sights and monuments you see while you are part of a small group.
  • All the trips are included in an air-conditioned minivan.

Step by Step

Visit Tarragona and Sitges in a single day to get to know all the relevant aspects of Catalan culture. You'll be accompanied by a tour guide for almost 11 hours. You'll depart from Barcelona, where you'll get into an air-conditioned minivan on your way to Tarragona. So, as you can see, all journeys are included in this tour.

This last point is important, as you'll be travelling a total of 100 km one way and another 100 km back. Moreover, while visiting the cities you will be able to move around easily, as the groups are usually small, around 15 people.

Tarragona offers a wide variety of culture and interesting monuments of great antiquity. Among them is the aqueduct of Tarragona, also known as the Devil's Bridge, which dates back to the 1st century BC. However, the monuments from Roman times do not end here, as you can also see the Roman Amphitheatre, the centre of the Roman Forum of Tarragona.

On the other hand, you will also visit Sitges, a city that will provide you with a totally different experience. In this case, you will rather enjoy the atmosphere and ambience of the city. Sitges is a Mediterranean tourist town where its main attraction is the beach. However, you will also learn about the origins of the town as a small fishing village and how it has evolved to the present day. You'll also have the opportunity to swim at the beach, so bring a swimming costume, towel and flip-flops if you're willing to get wet.

I would have liked to have been able to enter more parts of the amphitheater but they were under maintenance on the day of our visit. We made it on time to all the places I wanted to see especially the Devil's Bridge.

Playa Catalunya was very clean despite the crowds and was my favorite part of the tour.

I have lived in Barcelona almost all my life but this is the first time I have been able to visit the Devil's Bridge and the truth is that I found it very interesting.
