Gran Canaria, the third largest island in size and altitude of the whole archipelago, is known for its natural spaces. Its beautiful landscapes include beaches and cliffs, but there are also some more mountainous and inland areas. These are full of Canary Island pine forests and more rocky and earthy areas.
On this route you will pass through iconic spots such as:
- Fataga Natural Park: located in San Bartolomé de Tirajana and noted for its steep slopes and the island's oldest volcanic cycle. Its abundance of Canary Island palm trees, junipers and other species give it a unique botanical and scenic value.
- Ayaguares viewpoint: it is in the south of Gran Canaria and offers a beautiful view of the Ayaguares dam. The dirt tracks and ravines make it a privileged place for a buggy route.
