Step by Step

This day tour takes you from Granada to Seville, the capital of Andalusia. The tour lasts approximately 12 hours and includes transfer to and from your hotel by air-conditioned bus. As a bonus, it includes explanations by a local guide and entrance fees to the attractions listed below. Please note that the order may be different.

  • Seville Cathedral and Giralda Tower - This is the third largest church in the world and was built between the 15th and 16th centuries, during the city's heyday. It is a splendid example of Gothic/Renaissance architecture and is the resting place of one of the most important men to the Spanish crown: Christopher Columbus.

The church follows the layout of an ancient mosque and its Muslim past can be seen in the nearby bell tower, known as La Giralda. It rises over 100 metres and is crowned by a bronze sculpture representing the Christian faith. Originally, La Giralda was a minaret inspired by that of the Koutoubia Mosque in Marrakesh.

  • Real Alcázar of Seville - This monumental complex is located opposite the Cathedral, in the heart of the historic centre. It dates back to 913 and, century after century, this Muslim fortress has been converted into an elegant Mudejar-style palace. It is known for the Puerta del León - the main entrance - its welcoming courtyards and the surrounding gardens, where water is the undisputed star.
  • Plaza de España - This extraordinarily beautiful square was built for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929. It is semicircular in shape and flanked by a canal crossed by four bridges representing the ancient kingdoms of the country: Castile, Leon, Aragon and Navarre. Another characteristic feature are the tiles representing the Spanish provinces.
