Explore the world of spirits and their role in Swedish culture. Discover the Spritmuseum in Stockholm, one of the most curious and visited museums in the city. Learn about the distillation process of the different raw materials that are later transformed into vodka, gin, rum or different liqueurs.
The museum is divided into galleries, which house art exhibitions, an area for tastings and business meetings, as well as a bar, a restaurant and a shop where you can buy all kinds of drinks and objects related to spirits.
On the artistic side, there is a permanent collection of more than 850 works sponsored by the Absolut brand, with more than 500 artists, including none other than Andy Warhol. There is also a temporary collection on display.
One of the museum's aims is to show tourists the age-old and multifaceted relationship between alcohol consumption and human beings. In addition to the fact that Swedish culture is intimately related to alcohol consumption and its production is one of the most important in the world.
Located on the island of Djurgården, better known as the island of museums, the Museum of Spirits is one of the museums that attracts the largest number of tourists and is undoubtedly an ideal plan to include in your trip to the Swedish capital.
