Step by Step
A bike tour is an original way to discover Bangkok. The Thai capital is a frenetic metropolis, but some areas still retain the atmosphere of yesteryear. This two-wheeled tour takes you away from the traffic and into the most authentic areas. The tour lasts around 4 hours and includes a local guide, who will lead you on the following route:
- Santi Chai Prakan Park - Green area on the eastern bank of the Chao Phraya River and near Phra Sumen Fort. It is a popular destination for outdoor activities
- Rama IX Bridge - Bridge dedicated and inaugurated on the occasion of King Bhumibol Adulyadej's birthday. To decongest it, a new facility was built a few metres away.
- Outer Bangkok -Outside the city centre, the atmosphere changes radically. Large buildings and traffic give way to small paths winding through tropical countryside and through houseboat villages. Here, you'll cross rivers and canals aboard a traditional boat.
In the latter area, your guide will take you to a restaurant where you can sample local specialities. In addition to lunch, refreshments such as coffee and tea are also included. This itinerary is also suitable for families with small children, just request a child seat when booking.
Youdon't need to be an experienced cyclist, but it is preferable to have a minimum of experience on two wheels. In addition to the bike rental, they also provide a helmet, a poncho (in case of rain), a towel to cool off, souvenir photos and Wi-Fi connection (at the agency's office).
