Outlander Tour from Edinburgh

If you've seen the Outlander series, this tour from Edinburgh is for you. It's an activity that lasts around nine and a half hours and in groups of around 16 people , you'll visit the different locations where this popular series, which premiered in 2014, was filmed. Don't worry about transport, as a luxury Mercedes minibus will pick you up from the Scottish capital and take you to the different locations on the tour.

Outlander is a fantasy series in which Claire Randall, a nurse and World War II veteran, travels to Scotland with her husband Frank. But one night, after witnessing a ritual, she is transported back to the year 1743 and more happens. The locations where this show has been filmed are also fantastic.

Among the places you will visit are, for example:

• Doune Castle: in the series, this is the fictional Castle Leoch. As you enter this medieval fortress, you will be amazed by the great hall and views of the River Teith.
• Blackness Castle: this castle is known because many high status prisoners were held here. In the series, it is called Fort William
• Culross: if you are an Outlander fan, you will recognise Culross as the fictional village of Cranesmuir, close to Castle Leoch. Mercat Cross Square, Study House, the palace gardens and the West Kirk on the outskirts of the village were used for Outlander filming.

You will also have the opportunity to visit other locations where scenes were filmed, such as Linlithgow Palace, where one of Outlander's most famous sequences was shot.
