Select date and time

Step by Step

See the UK's most iconic Gothic church with these tickets to Westminster Abbey in London.

You'll explore the religious building that dates back to 960 AD, which still retains parts of that era and has witnessed the coronations of every British monarch since the time of William the Conqueror with only two exceptions.

You'll enter areas such as the main nave, transects and chapel, where the most epic royal weddings of all time have taken place, including that of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, and the more recent and media-acclaimed wedding between Prince William and Princess Catherine.

As well as royal coronations and weddings, Westminster Abbey is also the burial place of illustrious and epoch-making figures such as Isaac Newton, Charles Darwin, Stephen Hawking, Mary Queen of Scots and Charles Dickens, among many others.

You'll have the opportunity to walk around and contemplate one of the most historic places in the UK's capital, a journey through time that will take you through episodes of glory, conquest and tragedy, where heroes and villains from different eras have left an indelible mark on British culture and the world.

To add a little extra history to your trip, if you bring your headphones, you can download the free Westminster Abbey app on your phone and access an audio guide with commentary. And if you want a guided tour, a multimedia guide is available for an additional cost.

If you plan your visit on a day and time that coincides with the services on offer, you can take part in a mass or any other religious service at this Anglican church, which is not under the jurisdiction of the English Catholic Church, but is controlled by the King.
