Ocean Maui Center, located in Hawaii, was inaugurated in 1998 and is known not only for its size, but also for the variety of species it houses. Here you can see sea turtles and more bizarre aquatic creatures such as humpback whales.
It also has several themed sections where you'll discover different aspects of Hawaii's underwater life. These include stories about the kanaka maoli, the first inhabitants of Hawaii, a sea turtle observation area, the longest-living animals on Earth, and finally more than 40 species of Hawaiian coral.
Another highlight is the Open Ocean, a 750,000-gallon tank filled with multiple species of sharks and fish, which you can watch as you walk through a huge tunnel and feel enveloped by the wild marine world.
