This activity will last approximately 6 hours and will be done in small groups of 12 people, which will optimise the experience.

You will be provided with transportation to and from Miami, approximately two hours away, as well as a poncho, snacks and a map. Your expert naturalist guide will accompany you on the Tamiami Trail, Miccosukee Indian Reservation and Shark Valley, all of which you will visit along the way. You'll also discover the incredible variety of wildlife that the Everglades is home to.

Everglades is the largest subtropical nature park in the United States. It was declared a World Heritage Site and stands out for being a wetland with a unique ecosystem in the world. Its flora is mainly made up of orchids, oaks, mangroves and anonas. As for the fauna, the most outstanding species are the busardo colicorto, the American flamingo, herons, the American tantalus, the aninga, manatees, otters, but above all, alligators and crocodiles.

You will move around the territory by hydrofoil, which is the most effective and comfortable way to do it. You will have access to 3 essential places in the Everglades:

  • Tamiami Trail: enjoy this grassy river trail while the expert guide gives you information about the Everglades ecosystem and the native way of life.
  • Miccosukke Indian Reservation: this is the homeland of the Miccosukee tribe of Native Americans, and on your journey along the river of grass, you will see the villages where they live and used to live on both sides of the boat.
  • Shark Valley: a geological depression within the Everglades National Park. Filled with sawgrass and swamps, Shark Valley also has a visitor centre with educational exhibits, underwater cameras and a park video.
