The adventure begins at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, where your guide will greet you and give you an introduction to Pittsburgh's history. From there, you'll head to the August Wilson Center for African American History, a building with a fascinating history and unique architecture.
Continue to the US Steel Tower, the tallest building in the city, and pass the elegant Koppers Building, a majestic example of Art Deco. Next, you will visit the Omni William Penn Hotel, the oldest hotel still in operation in Pittsburgh, steeped in history and elegance.
The tour continues to Mellon Square, an urban oasis with a unique fountain, and the Allegheny HYP Club, a place with a New England feel in the heart of the city. You'll also see the exclusive Duquesne Club, a symbol of local high society.
One of the highlights is the First Presbyterian Church, which houses stunning original Tiffany windows. You'll also pass the Benedum Center and Heinz Hall, two of the city's main cultural centres, where operas, ballets and symphony concerts are held.
The tour ends at Point State Park, the birthplace of Pittsburgh, home to two historic fortresses. From here, you'll head to Market Square, the heart of downtown, where your guide will give you recommendations on the best restaurants and bars to continue your exploration. Before you finish, you'll also visit PPG Place, an impressive collection of buildings made entirely of glass.
