In the early 1930s, the producer and owner of the Olympia, Jacques Haïk, came up with the idea of building a very extravagant cinema with a capacity of over 5,000 spectators in an area of 2,000 square metres.
It has since left its mark on history thanks to its facades and roofs, as well as its foyer and decoration, which are examples of the art deco movement. In fact, it is listed as a historical monument for France.
