Step by Step

On this 10-hour excursion, you will have the opportunity to visit the city of Como from Milan. It is known for its breathtaking scenery as it is bathed by Lake Como and lies beneath the southern mountains of the Alps, on the border with Switzerland .

The excursion will take you north of Milan to the Como region. Throughout the activity you will be accompanied by an expert guide, thanks to whom you will learn many interesting facts about the history and culture of both cities.

In Como you will visit the Basilica of Sant'Abbondio, an 11th century Romanesque basilica, seat of the Diocese of Como. You can also visit Villa Olmo, a 19th century neoclassical aristocratic villa with spectacular views of the lake. Once you have seen both attractions, you will have some free time to stroll and sightsee on your own.

Afterwards, you will board a one-hour cruise around the lake. On board, you will have the opportunity to take in the scenery of the region's mountainous landscape and beautiful northern Italian architecture. You will also be able to enjoy the views of Villa D'Este, a luxurious 5-star hotel surrounded by tropical gardens.

The excursion will continue in two different ways depending on the season in which you travel.

In summer, you'll dock in the city of Bellagio, where you'll again have free time to wander the streets and enjoy a coffee or ice cream while taking in the sights of the city's historic buildings. From Bellagio, you'll take the boat back to Cadenabbia, where you'll be picked up by a vehicle and taken back to Milan .

In winter, you can take the funicular up to Brunate for panoramic views of the lake.
