Step by Step

Enjoy a tour of the sets of The Godfather trilogy from Taormina, on a tour of about 4 hours through the villages of Savoca and Forzà d'Agrò.

An air-conditioned bus will transfer you there and back and take you to the filming locations of the famous movie.

A local guide will tell you the stories behind each of the locations you visit and the anecdotes of the characters during the filming. Some of the places you will discover are:

  • San Nicolò or Santa Lucia Church: temple where Michael Corleone and Apollonia got married in the film The Godfather I.
  • Bar Vitelli: where scenes from The Godfather I were filmed. Here Michael Corleone told Apollonia's father that he wanted to marry his daughter.
  • Santissima Trinità Church: Michael and Kay are walking and meet a dance in the square of this church.

You will also visit the streets where many scenes were filmed and you can enjoy some free time to visit Savoca and Forzà d'Agrò, buy a souvenir in one of the shops or have a drink or snack, at your own expense.

Although the trilogy refers to the town of Corleone, the filming did not take place there because it was too modern for the time, instead they chose to shoot in Savoca and Forzà d'Agrò.

The tour of the Godfather scenes, although very touristy, does justice to the small villages of lesser-known Sicily. Highly recommended.
