Step by Step
World of Seashell houses a vast collection of shells of various shapes: bivalves, spiral shells, mollusc shells, etc. Its strong point are the rarest specimens, which are very difficult to see in the wild. The museum is made up of three main areas:
- THE SHELL THEOREM - Did you know that shells and mathematics are intimately linked? Many shells, such as those of molluscs, follow spiral growth patterns that follow well-known mathematical sequences, such as the Fibonacci sequence.
- MYTHS & LEGENDS - Shells are symbolic elements in all cultures. In Botticelli's famous painting "The Birth of Venus", the shell is associated with the concept of rebirth, feminine beauty and fertility.
- INTERACTIVE & EDUCATIVE DISPLAY - A space where children can learn while having fun.
In addition to exhibitions, the museum offers interactive activities. At the end of your visit you can buy a souvenir in the gift shop. If you wish, you can reach the museum with an air-conditioned vehicle at an extra cost.
