Step by Step

The Oslo City Sightseeing sightseeing bus will allow you to get to know the Norwegian capital without rushing. You'll board the iconic double-decker bus, with its distinctive red design, for a fascinating journey around the region's most iconic sights.

When you use your 24 or 48-hour ticket, you can hop on and off as many times as you like at any of the 25+ stops, located close to the main attractions:

  • Oslo City Hall: this imposing building built in 1950 displays a wealth of artwork and murals inside. It is used for important ceremonies and events.
  • Akershus Castle: a medieval castle built in the 13th century that has been used as a fortress, royal palace and prison over the years.
  • Fram Museum: dedicated to the famous Fram expedition, it houses the strongest polar ship ever built. A tour of the museum will give you an insight into the amazing history of the Arctic expeditions.
  • Oslo Opera House: one of the symbols of Oslo with its modern and futuristic design. It is home to the Norwegian National Opera and the Norwegian National Ballet.
  • Royal Gardens: here you will find a place full of beautiful flowers and trees, fountains and sculptures. Surrounding it is the Royal Palace, the official residence of the King of Norway.

You will have the opportunity to get off at these and many other sites, whichever you wish, to explore at your own pace and without limitations.

On board the buses, an audio guide will give you interesting information about Oslo's must-see sights, with headphones included to listen to the commentary in more detail. And from the top deck, you'll enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the city's streets and monuments.

Good tour bus, it helps you get to the most important sites in Oslo without any interruptions or problems in between. Mind you, it did make me a bit dizzy to be up there for so long, but it was worth it.
