Explore the history of Madrid with this 2-hour historical tour. Throughout the tour you'll be accompanied by a tour guideto whom you'll be able to ask any questions you want. At the end of the tour you'll be able to take an optional souvenir photo of the group.
You will visit Puerta del Sol, the heart of the city, where you can admire the statue of the Bear and the Strawberry Tree and learn about its significance for the people of Madrid. From there, you will head to the Plaza Mayor, one of Spain's most famous squares, known for its baroque architecture and lively cultural events.
Continue to the Royal Palace, the official residence of the kings of Spain. You will admire its impressive façade and learn about its history and the events that have taken place inside. Next to the Palace is the Almudena Cathedral, an impressive church that combines different architectural styles.
You will also visit the Mercado de San Miguel, an emblematic place where you can enjoy Spanish gastronomy and try some local delicacies. Here you will have the opportunity to taste traditional tapas and wines on your own, immersing yourself even more in Madrid's culture.
