Step by Step

Discover how colonial architecture is still present in Charleston with this walking tour. A native guide will walk with you on this two-hour tour, which allows up to 20 people in the group. You'll also have access to Charleston City Hall and the Dock Street Theater.

The French Quarter didn't get its name until 1973 in reference to the preservation efforts of the colonial buildings. But its buildings actually began to be built in the 17th century and its structures are truly picturesque.

During your tour of this district, which is on the US National Register of Historic Places, you'll have access to two buildings: Charleston City Hall and the Dock Street Theater.

You'll also be able to explore other parts of this neighbourhood located within the old walls of the old colonial city of Charleston. For example, you can see the famous "Pink House", a tavern built in 1712, as well as the French Huguenot Gothic Revival French Huguenot Church with the only French Calvinist Congregation in the country.
