Step by Step
Tickets to the Phoenix Zoo will open the doors to Arizona's most important zoo. It takes about 4-5 hours to visit, although the total time is entirely up to you. More than 3,000 animals live here and you can see them following the route of your choice. The zoo is divided into four themed areas.
- Tropic Trail: is divided into three zones, each dedicated to a region of the planet characterised by a tropical climate. Here live a variety of animals, from orangutans to the fearsome Komodo dragons, real dinosaurs that have survived the passing of the centuries.
- Africa Trail: Here you will find the savannah habitat. The undisputed star is the lion with its unmistakable mane and roar. However, there are also species such as the African wild dog, the southern white rhinoceros and the Grévy's zebras.
- Arizona Trail: the area that reproduces the typical landscape of this North American state and, specifically, of one of its most extreme environments: the Sonoran Desert. Among the most beautiful animals are the bobcat (American lynx with reddish fur and grey spots) and the Mexican wolf.
- Children Trail: where children can come into contact with animals and play with them. At the Harmony Farm they will find cute Navajo-churro sheep, as well as horses, donkeys and much more?
The Phoenix Zoo has several food stands offering the most popular dishes (hamburgers, tacos, pizza, etc.). It is located at 455 N. Galvin Parkway and free parking is available.
